some things have changed in my life that effect the GOFUNDME goals,
I now only require accommodations for one dog, have no rent to pay for the next year and personal life and opportunities are coming into play with what my work-related goals are.
I still plan to take an extended visit to the Netherlands to be absolutely certain I want to follow the paths that are coming up in my life. 
I have reduced my goal amount to $6000 to accommodate these changes which means we are even closer to getting this trip on the go!

For those who have known me the past 5 to 6 years, whether personally or professionally, you are probably aware that in 2018, I had an unbelievably amazing experience in The Netherlands and have been completely drawn to the lifestyle and atmosphere since the day I landed there. I was there for a total of 2 weeks but by the 3rd day I felt like that was where I was meant to be.

I've had some ups and downs and big changes in my life over the last 3 years, but one thing that has stuck is the feeling of being pulled back to The Netherlands. I came back in 2018 with the intention of returning to the Netherlands permanently within a 5 year period. Unfortunately due to the changes that occurred over the past 3 years, I haven't been able to save any money to return to Holland for an extended period of time. I did manage to save and pay for another course at the Schorem Old School Barber Academy (a big part of the reason I wanted to go back) as well as a round trip flight. Due to covid I've had to reschedule this course and flight 3 times since it was initially booked.

What I'm looking for from you is some support in the possibility of making this journey happen sooner and longer than a 1 week trip as it was initially planned.

My goal is to get to The Netherlands for one full month in order to determine if it truly is the place I want to be and if I could survive on my own there. There are some expenses here that I would need to ensure are covered in order to be able to stay overseas for 4 to 6 weeks. These expenses would include: Rent ($1330CAD) Car and Insurance Payments (Apprx $800CAD) and an additional $500CAD left to my grandmother in case of emergencies.

On top of expenses here, I would also be looking for support in rent for a pet-friendly Airbnb as one of my two dogs would be coming with me. Depending on the city/neighbourhood and time of year, 4 to 6 week Airbnb reservations appear to be between $1200 - $2000 CAD. I am also looking for financial support to accommodate dogsitters/walkers/daycare should I need to leave my dog for longer than a few hours while I'm there. I am budgeting an additional $1000 CAD for my dog's accommodations including the added fee for flying her to and from The Netherlands with me, a flight approved crate and any vet emergencies that may come up while we are there.

I am probably over budgeting for this venture but I would rather be over prepared and should I decide not to move my life to The Netherlands, all remaining funds will be donated to a foundation that will be decided upon when the time comes. If I decide to move my life to The Netherlands, all remaining funds will go towards my moving expenses/housing accommodations.

I am saving money towards these expenses as well as putting my own money into the GoFundMe but any additional support I can recieve from my friends, family and clients is much appreciated. If you recieve home services from me or friends/family discounts, please consider contributing to the fund in place of paying for your haircut. If you are a regular shop client and often leave a tip, please consider donating your tip to the GoFundMe instead of including it in your service payment.

At this moment I do not have a goal date for my stay, however, my second Schorem Academy Barber course is currently booked for July of 2023. I will be considering the development of Covid conditions and travel restrictions as I collect, save and plan. If conditions allow and funds are sufficient, I may bump the course up and do a longer stay in that trip.
