Help Fred and Linda Rebuild Their Home

Fred (77 yrs) and Linda (76 yrs) lost their home, known by many as "The Cabin in the Woods," to a fire while they were at a prayer meeting the morning of Dec 3. They returned from church and traveled the dirt road only to see smoke in the distance as their hearts sank. They knew it was their home. Rushing down the road, they pulled up to the image you see here. It was a total loss, including the family cat and dog.

Fred began building the cabin shortly before his 69th birthday in 2016. The Cabin was truly a gift from God and all those who volunteered as helping hands and gave resources to complete it. The Cabin in the Woods was always welcoming of visitors from near and far. Fred and Linda welcomed people to their cabin with open arms and loving hearts. Their visitors were sure to find a bucket of homemade ice cream, card games, respite, and spiritual renewal.

This will come as no surprise to anyone that knew them in their lifetime of service to God and the community. Fred and Linda have served the deaf community as high school teachers, college educators, interpreters, and pastors.

Please help Fred and Linda rebuild this retreat that so many enjoyed and was the place their family gathered for the holidays. May God richly bless all who give.
