Help Fred and Cindy Rebuild Their Home Together

Donation protected
Hello,

My name is Mary & I work at Menards in Belton, MO. I met Fred & Cindy Roth on the bright side of Menards and in the department that I work in, Electrical. They were looking for some supplies to facilitate electricity to their 7x19 trailer that they have been living in. Cindy began to tell me more about what they have been going through.

Cindy's eyes look just like my sister's eyes. I looked into them as she began to tell me that they are trying to find a solution to bring power to their trailer so that they can have heat before it starts getting cold out. Winter is coming and their house is currently uninhabitable and they fear the cold that will come.

What brought them into Menards that day was a series of unfortunate events. They have had three house fires in three separate houses. During one of these fires, they lost their parrot. They have had a string of robberies. They currently do not have house insurance. They live in Clinton, MO.

Fred is 81 years old and has lost his job. He is also recovering from triple bypass surgery. He has been going to physical therapy. Cindy was so afraid she would lose him from this surgery, an undiagnosed ulcer and dangerously low hemoglobin levels. Fred isn't capable of providing for Cindy and himself at this moment in time.

Cindy is currently trying to remove supplies from the house and clean up what she can because she is trying to safeguard herself from becoming the victim of another house robbery. Cindy had moved a year's supply of food into a freezer at her friend's house. This supply of food was damaged when a bad storm knocked down a cell tower that hit a pole that ended up taking out that freezer. Cindy and Fred currently ration their food and cook outside a majority of the time.

Before these fires, their previous house was flooded by Hurricane Sandy on the Jersey Shore.

Cindy longs for a ranch house for the two of them. She knows Fred will not always be able to manage the flight of stairs that the house that they are currently trying to clean up has. She uses God's blessings to motivate her each day to keep going.

I'm throwing a Hail Mary here and asking for any and all support to help them rebuild their world between the pavement and the stars. Fred told me he thinks the devil is constantly on his shoulder and Cindy reminded both of us that you have to count your blessings every single day and in every single moment.
