For over a year now, Frater Asinus has been entertaining people with its cutting-edge books on theology. Unfortunately, due to a critical lack of funds, we have been unable to publish anything more than the covers of these earth-shattering, church-rocking books. That all changes with you.

1. Publish the book you choose

Our first goal is to write and publish one of the dozens of potential books featured on the Frater Asinus Twitter page. We love all of our children equally, so we will let the donors vote on which book they want to see published first.

Our initial goal is $5,000, which should cover the costs of editing, formatting, printing and shipping a first run of one book. We’re still doing the math, but donations of $25 or over should be more than sufficient to get a book sent to you in the mail. We’ll sort out those details once we see how this goes.

2. Real books; real-ish theology

These books will be professionally written, edited, and published. Will it be theologically accurate? Maybe! Will it receive the approval of our local bishop? You can’t definitively say no!

3. Grow in virtue by giving us money

We’ll be totally honest, we have bills and medical debt that we’re dealing with. Without cutting costs or quality of the books, any excess funds will go to our ongoing living expenses and debts, and your soul will get all that sweet, sweet virtue.
