Franz is a well-known and appreciated face in the Meatpacking District in Copenhagen, where he sells homeless newspapers. For a long time, he has been living outdoors with his dog, Diana, and is known by many as a kind and friendly man. He often visits Mesteren & Lærlingen with Diana, where the staff know them well and have grown very fond of them. The two share a very special bond.

Recently, I spoke to someone from Mesteren & Lærlingen who knows Franz well, and I was told that Diana injured her paw and had to be taken to the vet. As many know, veterinary care in Denmark is expensive, and Franz had to spend much of the money he had available to make sure Diana got the help she needed.

I am starting this fundraiser because I was touched by Franz and Diana’s story and want to use my network to help support them financially, so Franz can buy food, dog food, care, and other everyday necessities for himself and Diana.

The people who know Franz well have assured me that any support goes toward food, care, and basic necessities for himself and Diana, not alcohol or drugs. Franz cares deeply for Diana and always makes sure she is fed when he is fed. It is clear that Diana is deeply loved and cared for.

I hope we can come together to support Franz and Diana and offer a little extra stability and kindness. I believe Franz is a good man who deserves some support, and any donation, big or small, would mean a lot.
