My dad was flown by emergency to Wichita, Kansas, where he underwent a very serious and unexpected surgery. Doctors found a hole in his intestines, which caused internal leakage. They had to remove the damaged section of his intestines and perform a full washout of his abdomen because it had already been leaking. This was a major, life-saving surgery, and his recovery will take time.

Because of the severity of the operation, my dad will not be able to work for several weeks while he heals. During this time, there will be no income coming in. On top of that, his wife has been unable to walk for over a year and has been hospitalized multiple times herself. I had already set up a separate GoFundMe to help with her medical expenses, and now this emergency has placed even more strain on them.

I am starting this fundraiser to help cover my dad’s medical expenses, basic living needs, and the costs that come with being out of work during recovery.
