The situation in Nicaragua keeps getting heated and staying in the country keeps getting more and more dangerous, especially for students. The government is executing their own people for having the courage to stand up to the corrupt and unfair treatment of the people that has been going on way too long. President Ortega has been very clear of the censequences of standing up against him by kidnapping, incarcerating, torturing and murdering innocent people. The Nicaraguan people are now living under hard circumstances and with fear for the lives of their loved ones. Some say a civil war is going on, but to make war takes two sides, and with only rocks for protection the youth of Nicaragua don't really stand a chance to machine guns. Frankye is my dear friend whom I've got to know in Nicaragua, and whom I care for a lot. He is stuck in León, Nicaragua (also his hometown) and I hope that together we can help him leave the country, and start over somewhere safe. The goal is Europe or Canada.

''If you want opportunities in this country you have to promise loyalty to the Ortegas for the rest of your life, otherwise your chances to succeed as well as getting a better job are always going to be hindered. It's not safe to go out to the streets at any time. The police officers supporting Ortega are detaining every youngster that look suspicious to them without a good reason.''
