Hi. My name is Matthew DiBrino and I am fundraising for Frank Smickley. Franks has been and still suffering from spinocerebellar ataxia which has made it impossible for Frank to care for himself. He requires 24-hour care to ensure his safety and well-being. We are currently working to get the proper insurance in place so Frankie can be placed into long-term care, however, that can take an additional 60-90 days. In the meantime, we have to ensure that he is cared for. Currently, he has a live-in aide who has been taking amazing care of him, however with Frank only receiving social security/disability, he simply can not keep up with the payments. It is the goal of this fundraiser to provide a few extra months of this extraordinary care for Frankie until he can be placed in a more permanent situation. Franks spirits remain high as he deals with this debilitating disease. We are hopeful that all of us can help a little bit to keep Frank in place for the time being.
