Hi everyone! This is our boy Frankie. We rescued him in 2021, a few weeks after we lost our sweet girl Dirdle. He’s a goofy mutt (literally 7% chihuahua) who is easily spooked and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He is Victor’s very best friend (but Victor wouldn’t ever tell him that LOL)
Recently Frankie tore not one but both of his CCL’s (human equivalent to an ACL) while outside playing. This type of knee injury is extremely painful and truly impacts quality of life. He cannot run or play with Victor or his best friends Millie & Birdie, he can barely stand up to eat, and he is constantly whimpering, visibly in pain.
While our vet has been treating him with nerve pain & inflammation medications, a mighty joint supplement, and a joint brace for support, these are the “affordable”, temporary solutions.
With Frankie being a larger/taller dog, his joints truly cannot sustain his size in this condition. He is still so very young at only 4 years old with a lot of life in him, and it hurts my heart to see him so sad and weak.
His current treatment is just a band-aid… so
today I am crowdfunding and asking for help with surgery for Frankie. Our vet believes one leg is worse than the other, so while we can focus efforts on one leg at a time, we do not have the funds to cover labs/imaging/surgery at this time (upwards of $8-$10k per leg).
Any amount remaining that may be needed will absolutely be covered by Braxton and I working overtime and trying to get approved for a small loan — in the meantime, this is the quickest way we can get his surgery scheduled and get a young pup back to running in his backyard pain-free.
ANYTHING helps. I mean anything. Our credit/loan options are limited due to financial assistance for IVF treatment in 2023 but we will absolutely do everything we can to give Frankie the quality of life he deserves.

Please, please consider chipping in to help him. Frankie deserves it & he thanks you ❤️‍
