Help Frankie's Mom

I am raising money for my niece whose beloved dog Frankie was admitted to the ICU at the Toronto Emergency Veterinary Hospital (TEVH) on Friday, April 23rd. The vet bill is growing and is already over $10,000. Frankie began having vasovagal episodes in the middle of the night and was rushed to the emergency where it was learned he has Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Amnemia, his immune system is attacking his red blood cells.

Little Frankie has remained in the ICU for five days so far and has undergone three blood transfusions. His other stats have remained good and other tests have indicated that there are no other causes of concern, this means Frankie has a good chance at recovery. Unfortunately, the nature of the disease is it can take a while to recover, the vet was hopeful one transfusion would be enough but Frankie required three. And he will require ongoing treatment.

Frankie is covered by Pet's Plus Us Insurance but unfortunately, this only covers $2,500 per illness. His human is doing all she can to help support him and make him better, and would not consider euthanasia because she cannot afford the $10,000 and growing vet bill. Frankie is her constant companion, especially because it is just the two of them. The team at TEVH has done a wonderful job at helping Frankie and everyone is hopeful he will return home on April 28th but will still need outpatient care. Please help support Frankie and his human so that Frankie can come home and cuddle.
