UPDATE- Frankie started his first round of chemotherapy last night (half dose), had an unsettled night but is eating and drinking well. Thank you to everyone that has shared and donated so far. #Frankiesfight
I’m setting up this GoFundMe to support my friend and her beautiful little boy, Frankie, who is facing a fight no child should ever have to endure.
After nearly 11 months of fighting for answers, countless hospital appointments, investigations, pain and uncertainty, Frankie has now been diagnosed with ALCL (anaplastic large cell lymphoma), a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Frankie is just 12 years old — an age when his biggest worries should be school, friends, hobbies and enjoying being a child, not hospital appointments, painful procedures and a cancer diagnosis. No child should ever have to face something like this, and no mum should have to watch her child go through so much while desperately trying to find answers. Frankie deserves the chance to enjoy his childhood, make precious memories with his family and focus on getting better, surrounded by love and support. ❤️
As a mum, hearing that your child has cancer is something you can never prepare yourself for. No words can describe the heartbreak, fear and uncertainty that comes with such devastating news, especially after months of desperately trying to get answers and having your child’s symptoms taken seriously.
Throughout this journey, Frankie’s mum has fought tirelessly for her little boy, pushing for investigations, attending endless appointments and doing everything in her power to find out what was wrong. Now, with a diagnosis finally confirmed, Frankie and his family face an incredibly difficult road ahead, with further procedures, treatment and hospital stays.
Behind this diagnosis is a little boy who deserves nothing more than to be a child. Frankie deserves to play, laugh, make memories with his siblings and enjoy his childhood without pain, fear and hospital visits. ❤️
Frankie’s mum is a single mum of three, and while she is doing everything she possibly can to keep her family strong, the emotional and financial strain is becoming apparent. With the support of her own mum, she is trying to navigate this incredibly frightening time while also making sure her other children feel loved, supported and cared for.
The reality is that caring for a seriously ill child brings so many additional costs. Travel to and from hospital, food, household bills and everyday essentials all continue, even when your world has been turned upside down. On top of this, the time and energy needed to care for Frankie can make managing everyday life and finances even more difficult.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help ease some of the financial pressure on Frankie’s family during this incredibly difficult time. It will help give his mum a little breathing space, allowing her to focus on what matters most: being there for Frankie and supporting all three of her children through the hardest chapter of their lives.
Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. Whether you can donate or simply share this page, every little bit of support will mean so much Chloe and her family.
Frankie has already shown more strength than any child should ever have to show. Now, let’s come together to surround him and his family with the love, kindness and support they deserve. ❤️
Please help us take away some of the financial worries so that Frankie’s mum can concentrate on fighting alongside her little boy, making precious memories and giving him all the love and comfort he needs.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donates, shares this page or keeps Frankie and his family in their thoughts. Your kindness, generosity and support will never be taken for granted.
Let’s help Frankie fight this fight. Let’s support his mum. Let’s give this beautiful little boy the chance to focus on being a child. ❤️
❤️ For Frankie. For his fight. For his childhood. ❤️
