Help Frankie Avoid Eviction and Homelessness
Donation protected
Frankie is facing one of the most difficult moments of her life. After a change in healthcare providers led to a disruption in her medication, she suffered a mental health crisis that cost her her job. With no family nearby and no car to rely on, Frankie has struggled to get back on her feet. She worked hard to find a new doctor and stabilize her health, and eventually secured a new job. Unfortunately, the gap in employment left her several months behind on rent, and her landlord has now taken her to court. If she cannot pay her back rent in full by June 30, she will be forced to leave her home and could end up in a shelter—or worse, on the street. Frankie’s beloved dog and chinchilla, who are vital to her mental health, would not be able to stay with her in a shelter, and she has no safe place for them if she becomes homeless.
Just as things seemed to be improving, Frankie suffered a seizure from the stress and fractured a vertebrae in her back. She is now temporarily out of work again while she heals. The funds raised here will go directly toward paying off her back rent and, if possible, covering the next month or two while she recovers. If we cannot raise enough to keep her housed, the money will help with moving costs, storage for her belongings, and care for her pets. Frankie has a state food card and Medicaid, but these do not cover all her needs, so some funds will also help with pet care and supplemental food. Keeping Frankie and her pets safely housed is critical for her health and future. Your support can help her avoid homelessness and give her a real chance to recover and rebuild.
