Hi, there! I’m Sarah, and I’m raising money for a former colleague and friend, Francisco— but I like to call him Frank! He is one of the hardest working, smartest, and most kind people I know and he could really use your help!

About 6 weeks ago, Frank had to leave his home country in Guatemala with his pregnant wife, and two small children, due to threats of gang violence in the area. He is now safely staying temporarily with some family members in the US.

However, Frank’s family does not have medical insurance in the US, and their 3rd child is on the way! They have a scheduled c-section on Friday, August 27th!

The average cost of a c-section without insurance in the US can easily exceed $20,000 if there are complications, plus extra costs for hospital stay, anesthesia, medication, etc. Most of us also know how expensive newborns can be with food, clothing, bottles, diapers, and all else that comes afterward!
