Hi everyone, my name is Saige and I am Frank’s girlfriend going on 2 years now. Frank isn’t one to ask for help but if he does then it’s desperately needed. I created this to try and help him get a lawyer to hopefully get both of his son’s into the stable and loving environment they deserve. Legal aid told him he makes too much money but how is bringing home under $800 every 2 weeks too much?
So here’s a little back story on why he’s fighting for his kids. In the last 2 years the children’s mother has kept them from Frank twice and both times for more than 60 days due to him being behind on child support. And one of the boys said their mom stated Frank has to pay $400 to see them. The boys have told us when they would tell her they miss him she would respond with “I don’t give a f***). A couple times in the last few months both boys have come to us smelling like dog feces and urine. They stated their dog poops and pees mainly in the basement where their mom keeps the clean clothes.
Just on 10/18 their family dog bit the oldest son, leaving him with seven stitches near his temple and their mom never contacted Frank to tell him even when she saw him 2 days later. Frank didn’t find out until 6 days later when he picked them up and the mom had the son tell him instead of her. Despite this, the dog remained in the home, and both boys have said they’re scared. Last weekend when we had them they both stated that their mom doesn’t feed them lunch when they’re all home that she just watches tv and that they like it here better because we give them breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snacks. They are both not doing good academically and both want to play sports but their mom said they can’t because she can’t afford to put her other 2 younger children in sports. Living with us will benefit them emotionally, academically, physically, and mentally.
I am asking for help to cover legal costs to help Frank fight to give these boys a safe, loving, and stable environment. Any support—financial or by sharing this fundraiser—means the world as we fight to protect the boys’ safety and future.
