Hi, I’m Beth, a friend of Frank’s, and I’m wondering if we can gather and together lend them a hand.
Their flatmate is ending their lease and leaving town and Frank has nowhere to go except live from their car.
While they are liaising with homelessness agencies for support it doesn’t look good and I would love to see them housed, with the assurance of that sooner rather than later.
They have a very unique opportunity to take over a lease relatively imminently in a home that would be a very supportive environment for them, if they can pay up front, preferably until April 2028.
And this is what I would love for us to be able to help them do.
There are other things they need help with too, and most important of all right now is a secure, stable, safe, and good-for-them home.
Of course only give if you can, and the amount you can.
Small amounts to very very big amounts are all helpful.
The amount covers rent, bond/ deposit, and a little for light furnishings.
I am sure things will get better for Frank, and right now they need our help.
If you know them personally and you’d like to, do feel very welcome to drop them a brief note and let them know you’re thinking of them.
They have a lot of health things going on and not a lot of energy so they might not respond — I am though sure they will appreciate it.
In times like these emotional support can make the world of difference too.
With warmth and care
Beth

Frank is a former healthcare professional and was working toward their PhD before significant health challenges forced them to stop working. Right now, they are unable to work and don’t have the financial resources — or a community support network, or government support, or any other supports — to fall back on.
While Frank has been proactive in looking for suitable housing, they have not been able to secure anything — they are not eligible for mainstream housing and Frank is neurodivergent. This means they have specific sensory needs that make most rental options unsuitable or even harmful.
When in environments that don't support their needs, Frank can experience shutdowns and lose their ability to communicate. This is very distressing for them and makes it nearly impossible to take steps toward improving their circumstances, whether that’s seeking work, accessing services, or managing day-to-day life.
That’s why this go-fund me was created. We're hoping to raise enough funds to allow Frank to take over the lease for a long enough period-of-time to give them stability, safety, and dignity in a good-for-them home while they focus on healing and rebuilding.
A secure home is a key ingredient in helping make this a reality for them — it would give Frank the foundation to manage their health, explore work options when they’re ready, and build social connections. In time I would love to see Frank grow into being a vibrant and thriving member of the community again — locally, and in the world at large.
They would love this for themself too.
And together, I am hoping we can help make this happen.
Please feel welcome to share this link with your close connections, and in public forums you think might help us reach our goal.
