Frank Sergi's apartment burned down due to an accidental electrical fire caused by his air conditioning unit. He lost many of his possessions and now the owners of the apartment building want him to pay for the damages. They expect these damages to cost around $30,000.


The landlords will not allow Frank to remain a tenant in the building even though he has lived there for the last 7 years and was one of the superintendents, who loved helping residents when they had any issues. 

Although he lost many of his things in the fire, Frank is most upset about having to move out of the building and losing the community he shared with the residents. I'm sure his neighbours will miss his friendly presence and helping hand, too.

Note: I've put $30,000 as a goal in the event that the landlords sue Frank for all the damages. Our hope is that they can come to an agreement and Frank can use the money raised to get a new place and buy the essentials he needs.
