As many of you know, I am wrapping up my undergraduate education this spring, completing my BSE in Aerospace Engineering. Throughout my time at the University of Michigan I have been honored to be a member of the U of M Men's Glee Club. This past year I haven't been able to maintain my membership because I spent a semester in Colorado for an internship and needed more flexibility when adjusting back into school after said internship. Now, after a successful reaudition, I have accepted the reinstatement of my membership for one last semester!
On top of that I have been invited to fill one of the last seats to represent the Club on our concert tour to South America this May! Our tour will be three weeks long and visit venues in Peru, Chile, and Argentina. I am very excited to have this opportunity, but financially I am unable to make it happen on my own. My income from my part time job at Jet's pizza is sufficient to cover my regular bills; but given that this expense was unexpected, I currently do not have money saved up for this trip. The cost is $2,500*, covering my airfare, lodging, food, and anything else needed for the trip. It's honestly an amazing price for what the trip includes! Would you consider donating $20, $50, or maybe even $100 to help me reach my goal?
Because my commitment to Club is so close to the deadline for the travel plans, I need the full $2,500 by this Wednesday, January 29th. Given the timeliness, consider this: if you were to take me out to dinner at No Thai and pay for us both, that would cost you about $20. If you would consider blessing me with a meal, I ask that you would gift me in this way instead. If you are unable financially to front $20 or more, I understand, and would appreciate your sharing of this page instead. This tour, and your contribution, would be a fantastic way to celebrate the completion of my time with the Glee Club and my wonderful years at U of M. Any support will be greatly appreciated.
*Initially this GoFundMe was set to $2,600 to account for the processing fees of receiving the money. I have shifted it down to $2,500 because of a $100 cash donation with the intend of not unjustly taking extra money for this cause.
