Frank Lost His Battle With Cancer Read Update

Please read the latest update below to understand the family’s current need.
My name is Doug Collver, and I wanted to create this fundraiser for my employee Frank Hendrickson to help him through his time off from work due to aggressive bladder cancer and severe diverticulitis. Frank was admitted to the emergency room five times last month and spent about 2-3 nights in the hospital each visit. Last night he had his surgery, and I'm told he pulled through.
It's unsettling for Frank and his wife, Nichole, not knowing how to move forward or address their current financial hardship. Frank has missed five days of work the past two weeks and will be off for another two to three weeks for recovery. He needs financial support from friends, family, and people with a big heart.
My personal experience with Frank is that he is dedicated, strong-minded, and has his life focused on family, friends, coworkers, and his employment. Frank will return to work this month and will always have a home at Western Roller Corporation. I ask that you please provide some much-needed support while he is off work for recovery. I asked Frank to provide a personalized message for the people reading his story today.
From Frank:
Married to Nichole Hebert Hendrickson
Daughters Sammantha and Taiylor
Son Colson
I worked as a produce clerk for 14 years
After becoming active in the union, I became a shop steward, helping my coworkers with many issues and problems and working with the public and local/state lawmakers to make retail workers' jobs safe and productive. It was my goal to help with current laws to protect their rights. In 2015 I became a union representative for the UFCW Local 555 until retiring in 2021. I then found an opportunity to work for Western Roller Corporation here in bend, Oregon and started a career in manufacturing. This is my current job, and I can't wait to return to work.
I was diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer and diverticulitis. On the 30th of September, I will be in for a 4-hour surgery to address my medical issues.
I am married to Nichole Hendrickson, who is undoubtedly the best thing that has ever happened to me. We were married on the beach in Yachats, Oregon, on September 19, 2020. I love Nichole with all my heart.
Without a doubt, cancer sucks! It takes everything I’ve got to make it through each day before complete exhaustion. I have used all my vacation and sick time at work, so taking days off for medical treatment is tearing me apart financially. I have been admitted five times since June to the hospital for at least three nights each time.
God Bless you all, and keep my family and me in your prayers. Any support you provide would be very helpful.
