My name is Sylvia, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of my brother Frank Dojaquez, a kind and selfless man who was tragically struck by a train in Manteca, California on Easter Sunday around 10:30 a.m. He lost his left arm in the accident while doing something truly heroic—trying to save his dog who had become stuck on the train tracks. His love for his dog and his instinct to protect it came without hesitation. We are now raising funds to help cover his medical expenses, rehabilitation, and to support him in this incredibly difficult recovery journey. It’s our hope that, one day, once he’s strong enough, he’ll have the chance to love and care for another dog who can help him heal emotionally as well.
