My brother Frank Cebreros, 48, is the father of Celeste (16) and Lautaro (13). He recently opened El Maquinista, a coffee shop in Barranco, Lima (Peru). It is a project he built with his own hands and savings, the realization of a lifelong dream, and a foundation for his family.
A few days ago he developed vomiting and high fever. In the last hours his condition has deteriorated rapidly: he cannot walk properly, he is confused, and he cannot answer basic questions correctly. A CT scan revealed brain lesions that require urgent further investigation. He is currently hospitalized awaiting an MRI to determine the diagnosis and treatment plan.
Frank has no health insurance. The cost of diagnosis, hospitalization and treatment is significant, and our family cannot cover it alone. We need to move him to a hospital with the appropriate medical capacity and cover the expenses ahead: tests, hospitalization, possible surgery, medication and rehabilitation. We also want to ensure that Celeste and Lautaro can continue their lives and studies while their father recovers.
That is why we are asking for your help. We are contributing with everything we can already and any additional contribution, however small, brings us closer to giving Frank the care he needs.
The funds will be managed by Leslie and Christian and we will share regular updates on Frank's condition and how the funds are being used.
There will be another fundraiser for friends in Peru (lower transaction fees).
Thank you for reading, sharing and contributing.
Christian Cebreros, Frank's brother.
