As many of you know, Frank Raimondi was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2018. Since his diagnosis, he has endured chemo, radiation, multiple surgeries, and a very lengthy hospital stay. The most significant complications of his hospital stay included muscle loss and loss of perfusion to his left leg, which later required an amputation.
After overcoming many obstacles, Frank is finally back at home with his family.
For all of you that are lucky enough to know the Raimondi’s, you know that they would give the shirt off their backs to anyone in need. They would be the first to help anyone of us, and now it’s our turn to care for them.
Therefore, we would like to make Frank’s transition home more comfortable for him and his family. The Raimondi family has already made significant purchases to help with Frank’s comfort such as a chair lift, and a full renovation for an accessible shower.
Although Frank has already proven to be a warrior, he still requires a significant amount of physical and occupational therapy. Insurance is no longer covering this for him. Jean and Frank are responsible for all financial PT & OT sessions. On average, out of pocket physical therapy can cost around $1,500.00/month.
Our goal is to help the Raimondi’s cover the costs of home accessibility renovations, and medical equipment needed to improve Frank’s transition home. We would also like to help Frank continue his physical therapy, so he can continue to grow strong and independent.
