Meet Frank!

Frank is a sweet, squishy-faced pug mix from a Puppy Mill who deserves to breathe.

Frank came into our care struggling with something no dog should have to fight for: every breath. Like many pugs, he suffers from severe airway issues. His nostrils are too narrow (stenotic nares), and he also has an elongated soft palate... both of which make it incredibly difficult for him to get enough air. What should be simple, like walking, playing, or even resting, is exhausting for him.

The good news is that this is fixable. With surgery to open his nares and correct his palate, Frank can finally breathe comfortably and live the happy, active life he deserves.

The hard part is the cost.

Frank’s surgery is estimated between $6,000–$7,600. And as a rescue, we’re already feeling the strain... he is our fifth major medical case of the year, and it’s only March. We never turn our backs on dogs in need, but we can’t do this alone.
