My name is Frank, and for over 36 years I worked in construction as a Project Safety Manager and Superintendent, helping build hospitals and high-profile structures across New York. In March 2024, my life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and forced to retire. Since then, I’ve faced not only the challenges of cancer treatment, but also the heartbreak of my wife and I separating. We sold our home, and after the sale, she left the state with all the proceeds, leaving me to start over on my own.
Now, I am living solely on social security, which barely covers my rent and basic expenses. I owe money for taxes and mounting medical bills, and I am about to lose my car because I can no longer keep up with the payments. My vehicle is my only way to get to and from doctor appointments, and losing it would make managing my health even harder. Medicare helps, but there are many medical expenses it doesn’t cover, and the stress of these bills is overwhelming.
I have always tried to help others when I could, and asking for help is not easy for me. But right now, I am struggling to survive and need support. Any contribution will help me keep my car, pay off medical bills, and focus on my health. Your kindness would mean the world to me during this difficult time.
