Hi Everyone,

My name is Erica Lee, and I’m from Toronto, Canada. I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Francyne Lee, who lives in an area recently devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

Francyne owns a small business that employs 30 incredible, hardworking staff members — people who have stood by her through thick and thin and are now facing unimaginable hardship. Many of them lost their homes, belongings, and basic necessities. They are still without electricity and running water, yet they continue to show up for work every day — determined, loyal, and resilient.

I can’t be there to help in person, but I wanted to do something meaningful. That’s why I’ve started this fundraiser — to support Francyne’s staff as they rebuild their lives and recover from this disaster.

All funds raised will go directly to the 30 staff members most affected by the hurricane. The money will be used to help them:

1. Replace essential items like food, clothing, and household supplies

2. Cover temporary housing and basic repairs to damaged homes

3. Assist with transportation or other immediate needs while their community recovers

I will coordinate with Francyne to ensure that every dollar raised is distributed fairly and used exactly for these purposes. Transparency is extremely important to me, and I’ll provide updates along the way so donors can see how their kindness is making an impact.

These individuals have shown remarkable courage and selflessness through tragedy, and I want them to know they are not alone — that people near and far care about their strength and their spirit.
