Dr Mendez in San Pedro La Laguna Guatemala recently had a heart attack and will most likely need further medical procedures to recover. He is currently stable but will likely need bypass surgery.
He has been extremely generous with his time, talent, and home in the training of medical students from the University of Kansas and other universities who wish to experience medical practice in Guatemala.
He deserves everything we can do to help!!
He and his family will probably need support with several things:
1. Help to keep his local hospital going in San Pedro La Laguna
2. Personal finances to cover lost wages, bills, family living expenses
3. Medicine and Surgical costs for his recovery
