Francisco está enfrentando actualmente una dura batalla contra el cáncer, una lucha que nadie debería afrontar solo. Lamentablemente, además del enorme impacto físico y emocional de esta enfermedad, también se encuentra atravesando una situación económica extremadamente complicada. El costo de su tratamiento médico, Axitinib (nombre comercial: Inlyta®) es un medicamento oral con receta que se utiliza para tratar el carcinoma de células renales avanzado o metastásico (un tipo de cáncer de riñón). Es un tipo de terapia dirigida conocida como inhibidor de la tirosina quinasa que supera los 6.000 dólares, una suma que para él y su familia es imposible cubrir por cuenta propia.

Francisco vive en Venezuela, donde el acceso oportuno y adecuado a tratamientos contra el cáncer es muy limitado, especialmente para quienes no cuentan con los recursos económicos necesarios. Cada dólar recaudado a través de esta campaña será enviado directamente a Venezuela para que pueda recibir el tratamiento que necesita con urgencia. No se trata de comodidad ni de privilegios, sino de darle una verdadera oportunidad de seguir luchando por su vida.

Francisco es una persona noble, trabajadora y generosa, que siempre ha estado dispuesta a ayudar a los demás. Hoy, es él quien necesita ayuda. El cáncer no espera, y nosotros tampoco podemos hacerlo.
