Hello! we are Warwick Vele and Martin Davies, former PNG swimming representatives, raising funds on behalf of fellow swimming team mate and friend, Francis Tau, a proud swimmer and coach from Papua New Guinea.

At 66 years old, Francis has reignited his competitive spirit and earned a place at the World Aquatics Masters Championships in Singapore this July 26 – August 22, 2025

He will proudly represent PNG in 5 individual events: 50 m freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, the 100 m freestyle, and relays. In preparation, he's been training six days a week, swimming 2,000–3,000 m sessions before his coaching duties.

Francis is an accomplished swimmer and mentor, first representing PNG at the 1979 South Pacific Games and later coached at South Pacific Games in 1991. He first start competiting at PNG National Titles in 1973. After rekindling his coaching path in 2012, he has dedicated over a decade to nurturing young swimmers

He recently competed at the 2025 PNG Masters Nationals, winning gold medals in both his 50 m freestyle and 100 m backstroke age-group events.
