Help Build A Home in Kenya this Christmas!
Donation protected
Thank you for visiting our page to help support a beautiful family in Kenya.
Francis and Lydia have six children and are trying to provide a safe and secure home for them.
Francis’ daughter Sylvia, was burnt terribly in a house fire at the age one while Lydia was out gathering water for the family.
Through the wonderful support of a mutual friend Lisa Dent, Francis and Sylvia were flown to Sydney and Sylvia received life-changing treatment at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead burns unit.
It was there that Ness got to meet Francis and Sylvia and they have remained in touch ever since.
Sylvia is now celebrating her 18th birthday on the 17th of November and is an inspiring advocate and role model to many people living with a disability in her community. Her brother Jackim will be graduating from university this year and will be the first in his family line to have a tertiary education.
All the family is currently under one roof and desperately needs more space where the kids can continue to study and grow.
We recently contributed $600 and Francis was able to hire 4 men for 2 days to help progress his house. A friend kindly donated $50 and he was able to buy a truck full of sand to help him make bricks.
Your donation will create a real and immediate impact.
We hope that with our collective support, Francis will have a new home for this family this Christmas.
We greatly appreciate your help in any way.
