Francis was a street dog in Delhi, badly injured and utterly alone. He had been hit by a car and left to survive with a broken hip and leg—no help, no home, and no hope. When we found him he was thin, emaciated, and barely able to move, sheltering under parked cars and using only three legs to stand.

His eyes told a heartbreaking story—of pain, abandonment, and quiet desperation. He was exhausted, anaemic, defeated, and unable to care for himself any longer.

But now, thanks to the compassionate team at Sunlight By Sandeep Animal Help, Francis finally has a second chance. He’s found a permanent home at their shelter, where he receives the love, safety, and regular veterinary care he so desperately needed.

Sunlight By Sandeep is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, sick, and disabled street dogs in Delhi and at times, other animals. They treat every dog like family and provide excellent, ongoing veterinary care. We have visited their shelter, spoke to the veterinary team, and are in regular contact with updates and videos of Francis and the work they do. We trust them completely.

Francis still has a long road ahead, but for the first time in his life, he’s surrounded by people who truly care.
