Story:

My name is Tonya Owens, and I serve as the Director of HR & PR for Summit LTC Kingsland, based in Fort Worth, Texas. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Francine Harmon, an RN charge nurse at our Kingsland Hills Care Center in Kingsland, Texas. Francine has been a valued member of our Summit family for over two years, providing exceptional care to residents in need.

On the morning of July 4th, 2025, Francine’s life changed in an instant. She had just left for work when her neighborhood was hit by catastrophic flooding. Her trailer home was completely destroyed, and she lost all of her possessions. Tragically, several of her neighbors were swept away by the water and did not survive.

Despite the devastation, Francine showed up to work that day, caring for others even as her own life was unraveling. She is currently displaced and paying out of pocket for a motel room in Marble Falls while navigating insurance and FEMA claims.

We are asking for your help to raise funds to support Francine’s immediate and short-term needs. All donations will go directly toward:

• Temporary housing costs (hotel/motel)

• Clothing and basic necessities

• Transportation needs

• Food and hygiene supplies

• Replacement of essential items lost in the flood

As her employer, I will personally oversee the use of all donated funds and ensure they are used solely for Francine’s recovery and rebuilding efforts. Transparency and accountability are a priority in this process.
