Help Francesco get back on his feet!

Everyone’s beloved Italian, Francesco, needs our help after seriously injuring himself in an act of courage and kindness.
At the end of April, during a night out in Northbridge, Francesco witnessed police chasing a suspect. Without hesitation, he stepped in to help—successfully stopping the individual—but in the process, he suffered a severe injury, breaking both bones in his lower leg. He underwent complex surgery involving plates and screws and now faces a long and difficult recovery.
If you know Francesco, you know he would never ask for help himself. He’s a proud, generous, and deeply thoughtful man—someone who’s always there for others, whether it’s a delicious meal, a helping hand, or a kind word. Now, he needs his community to be there for him.
Unfortunately, Francesco has used up all his leave and won’t be able to return to work for at least several more months. To make things worse, when he recently changed his superannuation fund, he didn’t realize the new one lacks income protection, leaving him without a financial safety net during this time. He’s also in the process of applying for victim-of-crime compensation, but that will take time, and the legal process comes with additional costs.
Francesco is not only a wonderful friend and talented chef, but also a longtime Blazer and a vital part of our community. Let’s come together and show him the love and support he so deserves❤️
Every dollar will go towards covering his living expenses, medical costs, and legal fees during this challenging time. No amount is too small—every bit helps.
Grazie mille from the bottom of our hearts❤️
