Hello,

My name is Annelise Walijeski, I’m from Old Bridge NJ and currently live in Plainfield, IL. I am a friend of Francesca and her fiancé Kris. They live in Somerville NJ, which was horrified by Hurricane Ida during the evening of September 1st. She and her fiancé lost both of their cars, submerged under water. They had to be rescued by boat from their apartment complex, leaving everything they have behind except the clothes on their back. They’ve begun planning and purchasing things for their new baby (she is three months along!) which has all for now been lost in the flood. During the night Francesca and her fiancée watched as the water built higher and higher in their apartment complex, which is in a downhill slope alongside a large retaining wall, so before anyone knew it there were friends, neighbors, animals… drowning. It was all in the dark, their apartment complex became a major flood zone, living near the Raritan river no one knows how high the tide will be the next few days and if they will be able to salvage any of their belongings. I have already personally sent Francesca $400, so people don’t think I’m creating this without having personally donated (lol.) Please donate what you can, even the smallest amount will help tremendously.
