Hello, my name is Francis Rempusheski.

I have been fighting heart disease since early childhood, having been born with congenital heart defects.

I’m fortunate to have survived several life-saving surgeries. Unfortunately, the current medical system is bankrupting me.

I have unpaid medical copayments of thousands of dollars, with over $25,000 in collections.

I’m on a fixed income of only social security.

I have exhausted all savings accounts including cashing in all of my retirement savings and fear the worst in terms of a foreclosure in the future if unresolved. Even the smallest of donations can make a difference, please consider one.

My fourth open-heart surgery was over 10 hours long with painful results. Worse yet was a postoperative sternum infection that required a surgery to removal my sternum and insert a plate.

I recently broke my pelvis, which required the placement of a reinforcement rod and screws. I fractured my shoulder as well.

Several spinal surgeries required the placement of a titanium plate and eight screws in my neck.

I also have a cadaver bone plug correcting a lower spinal injury. 

I’ve exhausted all of my finances and am at the mercy of the system.

The donations will be used to pay down my delinquent bills which are over $15,000

Drug prices in America can be a challenge as well.

This is the cost of just one of my medications that Is not on the Aetna list of covered drugs.

The average retail price for a 42 day prescription is over $2,000.

An additional medication has a copayment of nearly $600 for a 30 days supply. Most recently I required emergency surgery to repair a burst artery in my abdomen.
