Fran is one of my best friends. She has always been there for me, and I want to be there for her and her beloved kitty, Samwise. Recently, Fran received heartbreaking news from her vet: Samwise has been diagnosed with skin cancer. To find out exactly what type, Samwise needs a biopsy, and then she’ll need to start treatment as soon as possible.

Fran just moved up to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, and it’s been a tough transition. She’s far from her old support network, and the area doesn’t have an emergency vet nearby. She’s already had to make several long trips—sometimes driving three to five hours out of town—just to get Samwise the care she needs. The costs of these vet visits, travel, and now the upcoming biopsy and treatment are adding up quickly, making it hard for Fran to stay financially stable.
