Help Fran recover after too much loss

Hi, my name is Michelle and I’m fundraising for my Step-Mother, Fran. Last Saturday my Father, Bob, passed away. Fran has suddenly lost her husband of almost 29yrs. Financially this put her and the family is a tough spot. Sunday, exactly one week after Dad’s passing, their home in Rossmoor (Monroe, NJ) was flooded from Hurricane Henri. Unfortunately, there was no plan for my fathers passing. There were also no plans for emergencies. This left Fran with no funeral insurance, life insurance, renters insurance or home-owners insurance. As I’m sure anyone could imagine, this is adding devastation upon devastation.

As of right now they are looking at several weeks before they will even have electricity back, let alone the ability to sort through what is lost and what they can salvage. Estimates for remediation and repair alone are looking to be in the $50K range.

Being in GA, I wish that I could share the burden of what they will be going through in the coming weeks.
