Fr. James Mwangi has been detained by ICE for some time now. After prayerful consultation with his family, colleagues, and legal advisors, he has determined that his best course of action is to voluntarily return to Kenya. He has been assured that, with this approach, he will have a “clear” record with DHS and may be able to reapply to return to the United States should he choose to do so.

We have established this GoFundMe account in response to the many inquiries asking, “How can we help?” Any amount we raise will assist Fr. James as he re-establishes his life in Kenya.

We are heartbroken by the trauma that Fr. James and his family have endured. Please know that he is aware of the many calls, emails, and prayers offered on his behalf.
