Financial Support for Fr. Felix’s Mother
Some of you who follow me on Facebook know, our associate pastor at Immaculate Conception & St. Wenceslaus parishes, Fr. Kayiranga Felix, is from Rwanda.
Currently, his mother, Esperance (which is French for “Hope”), is in Des Moines, IA seeking medical consultation and treatment. She was told in Rwanda that she had cancer, but upon being examined in Des Moines, she found out that she does not have cancer (praise God!), but she has a large tumor, which is causing her a great deal of pain. This tumor must be removed.
The surgery to remove the tumor will cost $9,000. (Now $45,535.41 is needed - check updates!) Fr. Felix cannot afford this surgery on his own, and he is hoping for financial assistance. Fr. Felix is such an awesome friend and priest! Our family loves him dearly! So I am reaching out to my friends and fellow parishioners to assist Fr. Felix in paying his mother’s medical bills. The funds raised will go directly to covering the cost of Esperance’s surgery. Any amount you can contribute will make a difference, and your kindness will be greatly appreciated by Fr. Felix. If we can raise over $9,000, Fr. would love to compensate the family who has been hosting his mother.
Esperance is only staying in the United States for three months, and she’s has been here since late November. Father would like to schedule his mother’s surgery as soon as possible so that she will have time to recuperate afterwards in Des Moines before returning to Rwanda.
Thank you for your financial support, your generosity, and your prayers. Please share this page so we can successfully raise the funds necessary. I will let you know when the surgery is scheduled so that you all can pray for Esperance and a successful surgery. Thank you so much!!!
