History of FPCA

Friends of Parents of Children with Autism (FPCA)” was founded by Mrs. Elina Bajracharya Tuladhar and a team of enthusiastic parents of children with Autism. FPCA is catering service to 10 children till date. Mrs. Elina Bajracharya whose own daughter is a child with Autism, took the initiative to establish this learning center after crossing a tiring phase while seeking proper diagnosis and support for her child, and realizing the dire need of additional number of such support system in Nepal. There is a huge gap of services needed by the children with Autism and their parents/families/caretakers in Nepal. Friends of Parents of Children with Autism envision extending its services to as many numbers of people/children with Autism as possible in future.

Activities of FPCA

FPCA runs a day-care and learning center where it interacts with children to teach fine and gross motor skills, music, dancing, including mental and physical exercises on a daily basis. We employ special educators with the training, skills and patience to work with our children and parents.

We also reach out to parents across Nepal and provide counseling services via online or through the phone. It is a vitally important service we provide to the community as many lack the basic understanding of Autism. We help them, their family and friends understand Autism and educate them about the support needed to raise their children to have fulfilled lives.

Urgent need

We are asking your help to help us with our rent for two years so that we can continue to remain in this building. This is equivalent to Nepali Rupees 4,80,000 or 4,031 USD . COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult for us as our traditional donors have reduced their giving. We are surviving and continuing to provide critical support to our parents, who rely on us. These funds will allow us to focus on what we really enjoy, supporting children with autism and their parents.
