Help Four Staff Rebuild Lives After Fire

Islandsand Holdings Inc is asking for help to raise money for team members effected by Fire in Charlottetown Monday night.

We are the franchisees of Subway, Blaze Pizza, and HARVEST Clean Eats on PEI.

Monday night, four of our team members were left without a home or any possessions after a fire destroyed the building they were renting an apartment in.

Unfortunately, they did not have tenants' insurance. It was not clear to them that they needed it.

"This is the challenges of newcomers," said Yasmeen Thakur.

Red Cross has provided them with accommodations until Friday, after that, they are left to find their accommodations. In this climate, finding affordable housing is nearly impossible.

Over the coming days and months Yasmeen, Manpreet (both Subway St. Peter’s Road), Nakul (Subway West Royalty), and Harmandeep (HARVEST Charlottetown) will need support to rebuild their lives and replace everything that has been lost.

Our company will match all donations raised for these victims (up to $1000.00 each).
