My name is Jasmine. I'm fundraising to help my friend Asmaa Dwaima and her family.

"We are four families currently living together in a small apartment in the middle of the Gaza Strip after being forcibly displaced from our homes. We were told to evacuate our area in Gaza after leaflets were dropped ordering us to leave.

Now, all four families — a total of 22 people — are sharing a single small apartment :

• The first family has 6 members : Tayser & Hanan (parents), Asmaa, Mohammed, Amal, Hamza (siblings)

• The second family has 6 members : Hazem, Maysaa (parents),

Farah, Lana, Hanan , Tayser (siblings)

• The third family has 5 members : Aya (parent), Obeida , Hamma, Anas , Malek (siblings)

• The fourth family has 5 members : Shymaa (parent), Majed, Waleed, Abdelrahman, Amal (siblings)

Unfortunately, rent prices for displaced families have become extremely high, and many landlords are taking advantage of the situation. We are being asked to pay $700 every month just to stay in this apartment.

I am organizing this campaign to help us cover the rent and provide a safe place for our children during this difficult period of displacement.
