Help Foundry Theater Build a Space for Creatives
Help Us Revitalize the Historic Huntington City Hall Auditorium
We are Foundry Theater, and we have partnered with the City of Huntington to manage and improve the historic auditorium located on the 2nd floor of city hall. The Jean Carlo Stephenson Auditorium was completed in 1915, underwent extensive renovations thanks to the City of Huntington Foundation in the late 1980s, and has a storied history of providing events and entertainment to Huntington residents. We are looking to add to that legacy by programming the space with innovative shows and building a collaborative performance space for regional artists.
Although the theater is currently functional, there are several improvements that we think would allow the theater to reach its full potential. We plan to use the theater as a base for an expanding variety of community-driven events, including live music performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, talent shows, podcasts, and more. If you have an idea for an event, please let us know!
How Your Donations Will Be Used
Your donations will go towards some initial costs that will help us make the theater fully operational more quickly. Including:
- Repairs and updates for the aging sound system
- Repairing and restoring neglected spaces in the auditorium (including green rooms, wings, etc.)
- A digital POS system to tie in with our online ticketing system
- Cleaning and maintenance supplies (vacuum, carpet cleaners, basic cleaning supplies)
- Music Licensing Fees
Any support you can provide is invaluable; donations are of course welcome, but simply sharing this page will help us improve the theater. You can also support us by attending our first show on August 14th, 2021 - The Goodtime Mountain Mamas Show. Tickets will be available at the door, or on our website - www.foundrytheater.org.
