This sweet kitten was found in a cascade neighborhood and taken in by a kind family to keep her safe for a couple of days. After they posted a photo of her on Nextdoor, I communicated with them and learned they believe she needed medical attention. My family and I met with them and took the kitten back with us, after having it looked at by an extremely compassionate, kind local vet, we were informed that her lower lip was "degloved", most likely from being thrown from a MOVING vehicle! Her lower gum is constantly completely exposed due to the damage caused, the poor baby can't close her mouth, making it difficult for her to eat and drink. This diagnosis means the kitten will be in need of immediate surgery and care to avoid future infection and lifelong damage. We are so grateful to anyone who donates or shares, or both! All amounts, small or large, add up! All excess money raised for her treatment will be donated to local rescues (LuvnPupz and Michele's Rescue). Thank you in advance for your compassion!
UPDATE - Now named Bailey (she's a girl!) was seen and given an antibiotic shot and was assessed at Cascade Animal Hospital Thursday 7/29. They are unable to do the surgery at their facility and recommended a hospital in Spring Lake to see a dental specialist veterinary surgeon. She is scheduled for surgery Thursday morning 8/5! The new estimated cost for her medical bills will range from $1,300-$1,500. Thank you for all of the continued support, this baby deserves it! Please continue to share and spread the word!
