Help Fortune, a Single Mom of Two, Keep Her Daughters in

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Fortune, and I’m a single mother of two amazing little girls: Aqhayrah (5 years old) and Elsie (3 years old). We are living in Tanzania, where life is hard. I’m writing this from the deepest place in my heart, hoping that someone out there will hear our story and help us get through this very difficult time.

Life has been very hard lately. School is reopening around the corner, and I don’t have anything — no fees, no uniforms, not even money for food to send them with. It breaks my heart every day to look at my daughters and not know how to provide the basic things they need. They’re still so little, but they’re full of light, hope, and big dreams.

As their mother, all I want is the best for them. But I’m doing everything alone. Their father is no longer with us. He left after feeling hopeless — like he couldn’t give us the life he thought we deserved. He gave up… but I won’t. I’m a mother, and I could never walk away from my children. I will fight for them, love them, and stay by their side until my last breath.

The job I currently have pays too little to cover our daily needs, let alone school. No matter how much I stretch it, it’s never enough — especially now. What hurts most is feeling like their future is being blocked because of things beyond their control. I can’t bear the thought of seeing them miss school simply because I don’t have the means right now. They deserve a fair chance — just like any other child.

More than just help for school this term, I also dream of starting something small — even just a little business that can help me support them on my own. I don’t want to always depend on others. I want to stand on my feet and give them a better life. But right now, I need help to reach that first step.

If you find it in your heart to support us — to donate even a little, or to share this with someone else — you’ll be doing more than just helping with school. You’ll be giving us a lifeline, and giving my daughters the chance they truly deserve.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring.
From a mother doing everything she can for her children,
Fortune
