Hello, my name is Lucky De Jesus, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for support for our beloved family member, Forrest. Forrest is a 13-year-old Lab mix, born in October 2010. We adopted him from Alicia Pet Care Center, the same place where he was born. If you know Forrest, you know he’s the most loving and sweet dog, always eager to share his toys with friends. He is more than just a pet to us; he is family.

What Happened:

On September 16th at 4 a.m., we woke up to a frightening sight. Forrest was experiencing severe diarrhea with blood and was having difficulty breathing. We rushed him to emergency care, where he received immediate treatment. From there, he was transferred to Alicia Pet Care Center, where he was born, for continued care. Although there has been slight improvement, Forrest's condition required him to be transferred to an overnight facility for further monitoring and treatment.

Forrest is being treated for pancreatitis and ileus. His treatment includes hydration, medication, and continuous monitoring. Each facility has cost us about $2,000, and so far, the total expenses have reached over $6,000. We are doing everything we can to ensure Forrest gets the care he needs, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.

Our Situation:

We’ve been taken by surprise by the sudden and high cost of Forrest's medical care. To cover these unexpected expenses, we've had to rely on credit, which has placed a financial strain on us. This is a treatable disease, and euthanasia is not an option for us. We are determined to give Forrest the chance to recover and live out his golden years comfortably.
