Hi, My name is Christelle,
I am the former manager of Atelier Calla, a wonderful team of artisans based in Port-au-Prince Haiti . Since 2018, Haiti is going downhill fast, and 2024 has been extremely hard on all of us, forcing me to close operations. But today, these great women and men are in desperate situation and need to get out of Port-au-Prince and have a shot at strating over.
Many of our former Atelier Calla artisans are now displaced, struggling to survive.
Avril Jean, our dedicated horn prep artisan with over 40 years of experience, can't eat everyday.
Antonine Douge, who once assembled our beautiful accessories, is now sick from stress, living in a refugee camp where aid isn’t reaching those in need.
Franklin, Fedia, Michelet, and the Osny Georges Family—all are facing extreme hardship, as well as others.
Some have managed to flee to rural areas where they can “get by" like Jonas or Dickens. But for many, the situation is dire. They need help—not just to survive, but to escape Port-au-Prince and start anew.
I estimate $500 to $700 per familly can put them to safety outside of Port-au-Prince and help those ouside re-establish themselves. Our goal is to help all families but If we can help even 1 that would be a blessing.
We are counting on you to donate whatever you can.
There is a hatian proverb that says: "Bay piti pa chich!" translates: to give small is not considered stingy.
They need your help now!
BIessings to all and thank you in advance on their behalf for your support.
