Monia and Shelly have been facing over $11,000 in vet bills and counting as they fight to help their sweet rescue cat Forman (also known as Baby) recover.

Forman, about 10 to 12 years old, suddenly became very sick at the end of October — not eating, drinking, or keeping food down. After several vet visits, he was admitted to the emergency hospital, put on a feeding tube, and underwent multiple tests.

Specialists discovered severe thyroid fluctuations, gastroenteritis, and high protein levels in his kidneys, making his recovery complex. Monia has now been caring for him at home with IV fluids, medications, and probiotics while they await more tests.

It has been an emotional and stressful time for Monia and Shelly. Forman is not his usual playful self, but they are doing everything possible to help their baby heal and stay comfortable in his forever home.
