As many of you know by now, Lisa has been diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. Though it is something for which we could never be prepared to hear, we are absolutely prepared to begin the long battle necessary to fight back and win.

Anyone who knows Lisa knows that she is a true lover of life. Her family, friends, and her sweet cupcake Khialyn mean the world to her and bring her never-ending joy. In return, Lisa has always been there for those closest to her, given them support when they needed it most, and opened her heart and home to friends who needed a shoulder to lean on and place to collect themselves during the difficult times. Now, the tables have turned, and Lisa needs all of the support she can get from those who love her.

Lisa will begin a rigorous 7-week course of combined chemotherapy and radiation in an effort to shrink the tumor in her lung. Her treatments will occur daily and will take a considerable toll on her, both physically and mentally, but she is resilient and ready to embark on her new journey; a journey toward better health and recovery.

As you can imagine, the cost of treatment is not only physical and mental, but monetary. The out-of-pocket medical bills, combined with our everyday expenses, are beginning to mount. We need every resource we can muster to begin the greatest fight of our lives and are therefore reaching out to all of you.
