Help Forlaith have gender confirmation surgery

I’m Forlaith, I’m a 23 year old transgender woman. I started my transition when I was 17, and my life has only become richer and happier since. It’s the best and hardest thing I’ve ever done. For the first time in my life, I can look at myself in the mirror. I’m more confident then I ever thought I could be. Last year I met my beautiful partner, and I’m surrounded by supportive friends and family who I love very much. I’m living as the woman I was always meant to be, a life I didn’t think was possible.

But there is something I need to do that is very important to me, which unfortunately is going to cost a lot of money, and take a long time to recover from.

I need surgery to feel complete. This next major step in my transition would change my life completely, and I’ve chosen to pay for it privately because NHS waiting lists are punishingly long.

Once I get a date for my surgery, the first thing will be to put down a deposit of £3000. But the full cost will be much more and include travel, accommodation, lost wages, and of course the procedure itself. My heart is set on this, but I simply can’t afford it without help.
