Our hearts are broken after a devastating fire severely damaged Forage Farm & Kitchen, a place that means so much to our Hornby Island community.

Forage is more than just a restaurant. It’s where friends gather, families celebrate, visitors are welcomed, and memories are made. It’s become part of the heart of our island, and seeing it damaged so suddenly has been heartbreaking for everyone.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the road to recovery will be long. While insurance will help, it won’t cover everything. They’re facing a significant deductible, some uninsured rebuilding costs, and many expenses that come with rebuilding.

Like many small business owners, they had recently invested in new equipment and taken on additional debt to prepare for the busy season. Before they even had the chance to recover those investments, their world turned upside down.

Anyone who knows the owners knows how much passion, hard work, and love they’ve poured into Forage. We’re asking for your help to ease some of that burden. Every donation will go toward their insurance deductible, rebuilding costs, replacing what insurance won’t cover, and helping them reopen their doors.
