Zoya Shumanska is a hardworking, well-liked and bubbly member of the Financial Management team. She’s worked with us since 2019 and regularly brings a smile or two to the weekly huddles.

Early afternoon on Tuesday 19th July, Zoya and her two children were looking forward to a lovely relaxing break and were getting ready to travel to Bulgaria to see family. However, as they were at the airport, they received a call to inform them that a fire had broken out near their house and was spreading through Barking and Dagenham. Luckily Zoya’s husband was able to save their dog, but the police prevented him from re-entering the house to save anything else. Their two cats are still unaccounted for.

As you can imagine, Zoya and her family have lost an awful lot – nothing is left of the house and their possessions, other than what they had packed for their holiday. It’s an extremely difficult time, so we’ve set up this page for donations to help Zoya and her family. Whilst nothing will be able to replace the memories and personal possessions that they’ve lost, this will hopefully help them get back on their feet in the coming weeks.
